Talentedge are delighted to be working alongside our clienty who are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented finance professional to provide critical support to our Financial Controller and contribute to the effective running of the Finance Department.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist the Financial Controller with the daily operations of the finance function.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure financial processes and tasks are carried out efficiently and accurately.
• Support the preparation and completion of monthly and quarterly financial cycles.
• Contribute to the formulation and review of annual budgets.
• Help manage and monitor company cash flow and prepare related financial updates.
• Aid in compiling internal financial reports and management accounts.
• Supervise the recording of sales and purchases, ensuring timely invoice processing.
• Handle supplier communications and resolve outstanding matters promptly.
• Work with various departments to obtain invoice approvals and address finance-related questions.
• Support the compilation and filing of tax documentation.
• Perform regular reconciliations of key accounts.
• Participate in the annual external audit process.
• Provide general assistance across the Finance team as required.

Required Skills & Experience

• Relevant academic background or part-qualified status with a recognised accounting body preferred.
• Strong numerical and analytical abilities.
• Previous experience in a finance or accounting environment is beneficial.
• Familiarity with accounting systems or software is desirable.
• Upholds confidentiality and demonstrates integrity.
• Able to manage deadlines and work under pressure.
• Excellent prioritisation and time management abilities.
• Strong data entry skills and high accuracy in work.
• Clear and professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel.
