In today’s rapidly evolving workplace, navigating the complexities of employee relations can be challenging. From remote work dynamics to reputational risk in the age of social media, today’s HR professionals are required to balance legal obligations, business priorities and employee expectations - all at once!

Known for their expertise, approachable style and quick response, they deliver dependable support when it matters most. (Find out more at afterathena.co.uk.)
Therefore we are thrilled to be joined by two experts in employment law and HR from their team, Emma Saunders & Oliver McCann, who will be sharing their considerable knowledge, insights and expertise with our guests.
Emma advises leadership teams and HR professionals on a variety of employment law issues. She is experienced in dealing with disciplinary and grievance matters, discrimination issues, absence management, performance management, negotiated exits, restructures and redundancy processes. She also drafts and negotiates bespoke contracts of employment, directors service agreements, policies, procedures, settlement agreements and TUPE provisions.
Oli is an employment law and HR partner at AfterAthena and head of Napthens’ East Lancashire office. He acts for businesses ranging from owner-managed businesses through to large PLCs, across a number of industries. Oli advises on all aspects of HR and employment law, and on all levels of employment contracts, with or without restrictions, through to dismissal and discrimination matters.
Hosting the event on behalf of Talentedge, Nicole has 10 years’ recruitment experience and heads up the HR & Talent recruitment team for Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Over the years she has built a strong network of HR leaders and is passionate about exploring the key issues that concern them, including employee relations.
We'll be exploring three key areas shaping the employee relations landscape through a combination of round table discussion and presentations:
Navigating difficult exits and settlements
Freedom of speech vs. company values/reputation
This event is more than a knowledge sharing session, it’s a chance to connect and learn. Don’t miss this opportunity to network with fellow HR leaders and walk away with practical insights that will help shape your employee relations strategy moving forward.
